Philosophical Moment

Recently I was accused of attempting to brainwash a liberal mind. I plead not guilty. The brain had already been out to the laundry. I was simply attempting to broaden this brains thought process.

I share to a degree the belief of the Hindu Prince Guatama Siddhartha. He said a few years back (approx. 530 B.C.) "Do not believe anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it."

This is the number one reason for this blog. Not to tell you what to believe, but instead to encourage analysis of what you have heard and then decide on a belief based upon reasonableness, common sense, and good judgment.
